Chiang Mai Business AI Rankings

A monthly public measurement of which Chiang Mai businesses get named when someone asks an AI assistant where to go. Four assistants, the questions a visitor actually asks, each put five times. Nobody pays to be on it.

The method in one paragraph

Each question is put to Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude five times with live web search switched on. Any run where the assistant did not verifiably search the web is discarded rather than counted. Every business named is then counted deterministically across the usable answers, longest name first, so a word inside a longer name is never mistaken for a business. The count, the number of usable runs and the number discarded are all published.

Asking an AI assistant the same question twice returns two different lists. One check proves nothing. That is why every question here is asked twenty times.

The assistants do not read your website first. They read the lists other people wrote about you.

Our own entry, declared

RealSpace Creative publishes the index and is also measured by it. In this edition we are 2 of 18 for podcast studios and 15 of 33 for coworking spaces. Both numbers came out of the same script as every other row and neither was adjusted. There is no paid placement and no way to buy a position, but a publisher that appears in its own ranking should say so on the page rather than leave a reader to find it.

Corrections and removals

Email hello@realspacecreative.com. A misspelt name, a business that has closed, two rows that are the same place, or a request to be taken off the index entirely: corrections land in the next edition, and anything plainly wrong is fixed sooner. The index records business names and what a publicly available AI answer said about them, so it holds no personal data, and a removal request is honoured without a reason being asked for.

Attribution

Please link to the index when quoting a ranking. Business photographs come from the Google Places API, are cached for the life of an edition and are shown with the photographer credited on the page.
